Six functions. One face.

Sourcing, contracts, risk, supplier performance, transactions and spend each have their own team, their own system and their own view of how things are going. Nobody disagrees about the facts — they simply never see them together. Six sub-dials, one master, and the answer to "how is procurement doing?" stops being an exercise in collation.

Nobody assembles this. It is assembled by being looked at.

What the master dial holds

Six stages, one per sub-dial, and twenty-four checkpoints beneath them. The master holds no evidence of its own — each arc is the state of the dial underneath it.

Dials created with partners start with a basic dial, and can then have additional sections (the outer ring) and segments (the inner slices) added. There are many other benefits and features we can share with potential partners and clients.

The six dials it is made of

Each sub-dial is run by the team that owns that function, on its own cadence. The master face changes when they do — nobody sends a status update, and nobody compiles a monthly pack to find out that screening slipped.

  • Sourcing & pipeline

From a requirement being raised to a supplier being chosen, with the market work that justified the choice attached.

    4 stages · 12 checkpoints

  • Contract lifecycle

The contract from first draft to renewal, so nothing auto-renews because a date passed unnoticed.

    4 stages · 12 checkpoints

  • Third-party risk & compliance

The strand where a gap is a regulatory problem rather than an inconvenience — and the one this month is red.

    4 stages · 12 checkpoints

  • Supplier relationship

What happens after the contract is signed, which is where most of the value and most of the drift lives.

    4 stages · 12 checkpoints

  • Transactional operations

Purchase to pay. High volume, low drama, and immediately visible when it stops working.

    4 stages · 12 checkpoints

  • Spend analytics

The reporting the rest of the business asks for, built from what the other five dials already hold.

    4 stages · 12 checkpoints
