People
Day one is easy. Day ninety is the problem.
Most onboarding is a good first week followed by nothing. The contract is signed, the laptop arrives, the induction happens — and then the new person is left to work out the rest by asking, which some people are much better at than others. This dial runs the whole ninety days, and the strands that usually go missing are the ones with their own arc.
The new starter can see what is theirs to do, and so can their manager.
What the dial holds
Five strands and twenty-five steps. The first two are the ones every organisation already does; the last three are the ones that decide whether somebody stays.
Dials created with partners start with a basic dial, and can then have additional sections (the outer ring) and segments (the inner slices) added. There are many other benefits and features we can share with potential partners and clients.
